On a perfect, New Mexico Winter day a "Welcome Home Widor" party was held in the club room at Windsong Dressage Center in Cedar Grove. A large group of friends, and many admirers and supporters of Widor gathered to celebrate his return to Windsong.
They enjoyed a brief demonstration ride by Ulla Hudson, followed by another unscheduled ride on her new stallion E-sthetics Velbot ("Otto").
Well known local dressage rider and writer,Barbara Burkhardt, whose book Dressage from A to x" is now in a second printing, called the ride as Ulla put Widor through his paces. Barbara then gave Otto, a 17.2 hand Russian Hanoverian, a try for herself. Everyone had a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon and even Patrick Hudson MD, the sponsor of the Windsong Dressage Team tested his skills on "Otto".
The USDF selected Ulla and Widor as a demonstration rider and horse for the Kyra Kyrklund Symposium.
In 1998, at the Pantano CDI show in Arizona, she and Widor won all eight classes at Second Level. Their average score 71.16. Widor is trained to Grand Prix and now stands at stud at Windsong.
